Finally, Thoughts to Paper pushes $3,000 of the fixated Application Stage fee to the Issuance Stage. Remember, fees in the Issuance Stage are only due if you obtain a patent from the US Patent Office.

As a result, the majority of your cost will be pushed towards when you successfully receive your patent, instead of when you file the application. This greatly reduces your upfront investment and risk.

If your patent is issued by the US Patent Office, you simply pay back the deferred portion of the Application Stage fee as a part of the Issuance Stage fee. If your patent is rejected by the US Patent Office, you will have no further obligation!
